According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to September 2019, garment enterprises above designated size in the apparel industry completed a total of 18.331 billion garments, down 1.26% year-on-year.
Domestic sales:
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to September 2019, the total retail sales of consumer goods in China was 29,667.4 billion yuan, an increase of 8.2% year-on-year. Among them, the retail sales of clothing products above designated size totaled 682.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to September 2019, the online retail sales of physical goods in the country was 5,777.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.5%. In the online retail sales of physical goods, wearing goods increased by 18.6%.
Export:
According to China Customs data, from January to September 2019, China’s exports of clothing and clothing accessories totaled 114.313 billion U.S. dollars, down 4.46% year-on-year.
Investment:
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to September 2019, the actual investment in the apparel industry in China fell by 2.0% year-on-year.
Benefit:
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to September 2019, there were 13,702 enterprises above designated size in the garment industry (annual business income of 20 million yuan and above), with an accumulated operating income of 1,208.447 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.47%; total profit of 62.612 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.64%; operating income margin was 5.18%, down 0.16 percentage points from the same period of the previous year.
