Knitting Textile Big Shot Looks Bright As Situation Lights up

Feb 28, 2020  |  by zhaoh
On February 26, Pacific Textiles Limited, the knitting textile big shot, announced a production rebounding by more than 80% as of February 25 from 40% level on February 14 ever since its operation restarted on February 12, signifying a smooth job return amid on-going tightened efforts to prevent and control the novel coronavirus.
Pacific Textiles Ltd. Is a leading manufacturer of customized knitted fabrics in textile industry with its headquarters seated in Hong Kong and its production base in Panyu District of Guangzhou, capital city of Guangdong Province, China’s No.1 GDP producer, South China.

Even though government called for resuming production where the conditions are improving for the better in terms of the disease control, efforts are still muscled up both inside and outside the factories to keep a safe and clean workplace and appropriate flow of workforces travelling here and there back to work. The full-running operation is coming, but not yet realized at the moment, which impacts the company’s performance temporarily. The three-week long pause in production prior to the restart of on-site operation for normal leave during Spring Festival and the shortfall in full-capacity running, together with other uncertain factors in this special period, will roughly cut off 400 -450 million Hong Kong dollars in business income on estimable basis as against the previous production schedule
Restarting plant operation by 80%-100% does not necessarily mean that all the workers come back to their factories or machines are running in full capacity. It is noticed that in many places, the initial returning rate of operators is somewhere at 20%-40%, leaving more than half of the job position short of hands due to quarantine measures and traffic flow control. A full-house operation is around the corner, but patience persists.
Pacific Textiles Ltd. is proving integrated services of knitting, dyeing, printing and finishing with scalable water treatment facility and cogeneration power plant, with annual production capacity of approximately 87million KG and 6500 staff in production area, covering its production and workforces in Vietnam, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka etc.. The company stands in full conviction that the plant in Panyu District in Guangzhou will run at full throttle and its clients orders will be fulfilled, and business comes back, thriving as the situation lights up.
