Establishment of 47 autonomous region-level agricultural mechanization technology demonstration zones in Xinjiang

Starting this year, Xinjiang plans to establish 47 demonstration zones of agricultural mechanization technology at the autonomous region level in four years, according to the industrial structure and advantages of various regions.

 

 

Reporters learned from the Autonomous Region Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Machinery Administration that these demonstration zones will continue to adjust and optimize the structure and layout of agricultural machinery and equipment through grasping the general key zones, further promote the overall mechanization level in Xinjiang, and accelerate the revitalization of rural industry.

 

According to Pei Xinmin, chief engineer of the Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Machinery Administration of the Autonomous Region, 47 demonstration zones of agricultural mechanization technology at the autonomous region level were established, involving 10 key demonstration projects, including cotton, forest and fruit industry, wheat, corn, modern plant protection, characteristic crops, comprehensive utilization of straw, plastic film recovery, forage and BeiDou agricultural benchmark stations. Emphasis is laid on cotton and maize production, characteristic crops, forage production, straw recycling and feed utilization, furrow fertilization and efficient plant protection in forest and fruit industry, waste disposal, protective tillage, and the introduction, demonstration and promotion of intelligent, informative and precise technology and equipment.
