“Textile Vision” public welfare activity and “IKEA, I Hope” hand in hand to donate materials to Nantong Tibetan Nationality Middle School

Recently, “Textile Vision” public welfare activity joined hands with “IKEA, I Hope” to enter the birthplace of China’s textile technology education and one of the bases of modern national cotton textile industry in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, donating a total of more than 60 tons of IKEA products, such as curtains, bookcases and wardrobes, to teachers and students of Nantong Tibetan Nationality Middle School.
 
 



 
 
At the beginning of the donation ceremony, the students presented Tibetan Hada to the representatives of Textile Vision Science & Education Fund, IKEA, China Charity Federation and Education Bureau. Ye Zhimin, executive vice president of Textile Vision Science & Education Fund, delivered a speech at the ceremony and introduced the basic situation of the Foundation. Wang Yong, deputy president and secretary-general of Nantong Charity Federation, and Yang Xiaofan, principal of Nantong Tibetan Nationality Middle School, delivered speeches respectively. Then, Mr. Wu Zhiqian, the representative of IKEA, introduced the history, current situation of the company and the efforts made in the field of public welfare and charity in China. At the end of the donation ceremony, Dan Zengdeqing, a student representative, expressed her heartfelt thanks to the donors.
 

 
 
After the event, IKEA delegation and the staff and volunteers of Textile Vision Science & Education Fund visited the classrooms, libraries and dormitories of the school, and listened to the brief report of the vice-principal on the learning and living conditions of Tibetan students.
 

 
 
On April 30, the “Textile Vision” volunteers and IKEA delegation responded to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech on the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement, and at the proposal of Nantong Tibetan Nationality Middle School, came to Guqiao Town, Rugao City to visit the local poor households. Together with local volunteers, they assembled five brand-new wardrobes for poor households. They were welcomed and thanked by the local villagers.
