Youngor built the world’s only hemp industry chain and led the co-development of hemp and human

On October 17th, Youngor’s “Hemp and Human Development Conference” was held in Ningbo, revealing the relationship between hemp and human life development, and showing the daily scenes of hemp life through the Hemp Culture Show. The Hemp Development Forum conducted a deep discussion on the future of the hemp industry.

Cannabis transforms into the most promising green material in the 21st century
Hemp originated in China and has been planted for nearly 8,000 years. Since the 1980s, after more than 20 years of unrelenting exploration and research and development by the Quartermaster Equipment Development of General Logistics Development of the People’s Liberation Army, the state has re-recognized the value of hemp and handed it over to Youngor for industrialization. After more than 10 years of unremitting investment, Youngor has re-created the most promising green low-carbon natural materials in the 21st century, and has taken the world’s forefront to build the world’s only hemp industry chain.

Keeping the original mission to set off a new industrial revolution
Li Rucheng, Chairman of Youngor Group, has a special liking for hemp and has been committed to the promotion and industrialization of hemp.

He believes that hemp is a cause for the benefit of the country and the people. The successful development and industrialization of hemp will, on the one hand, effectively change the raw material structure of the textile industry and promote the sustainable development of the industry; on the other hand, hemp fiber can also replace mineral raw materials such as petroleum and coal to reduce dependence on fossil energy, to reduce the pollution caused by energy consumption to the environment; and the hemp products have unique environmental protection and health functions with high added value and broad market prospect.

Many countries in the world are studying hemp fiber development technology, but due to the shrinking of the industry, the implementation of industrialization is very difficult. In contrast, China’s textile and apparel industry has a very strong industrial base, and companies with a complete industrial chain like Youngor are rare in the world.

“Any kind of emerging resource industry development needs to invest a lot of money, scientific research strength and time, not overnight, nor within a few years to be successful and profitable.” Talking about the original intention of industrialization, Li Rucheng said, “Youngor is not only the leading enterprise in China’s textile and garment industry, but also has rich practical experience in industrial operation. Therefore, it is the historical mission of us to take over the national baton for industrialization.”

In 2006, Youngor officially joined hands with the People’s Liberation Army to enter the hemp industry. After the hemp detoxification improvement, cultivation, fiber extraction, fiber optimization and application, it successfully broke through a number of technical bottlenecks restricting the development of the hemp industry, and independently developed a complete set of equipment for hemp fiber extraction and improvement, and mastered the core technologies such as degumming, cooking, rinsing, liquid ammonia finishing and fiber grading and carding. In 2009, it was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award for Hemp Natural Fiber Applications by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

The transformation of hemp fiber into cotton-like is firstly invented by Youngor. In the process of industrialization of hemp, Youngor took the initiative of science and technology innovation, enjoying that more than 20 independent intellectual property rights and core technologies were granted national invention patents, while one obtained U.S. patent. It became the standard setter for domestic hemp civilian and military products, winning many industry and national high-tech awards and product development contribution awards.

Filling the international gap and demonstrating national confidence
With the deepening of the industrialization of hemp, its value is increasingly recognized by people of insight. More than 30 countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Canada have confirmed the value of hemp as an ecological crop, started the cultivation and production of hemp, and obtained a substantial R&D breakthrough in the field of hemp consumption (such as the extraction of edible oil from hemp seeds). However, in terms of R&D in the field of garment, China is a unique pioneer, filling a number of world gaps and leading the way. In the international textile market, it has absolute dominance in the pricing of hemp raw materials and products.

In the process of hemp’s move to the international arena, China’s originality and ownership have become the iconic labels and won international recognition.

In 2010, Youngor represented the Chinese enterprises at the “Chinese Culture Year” celebrations held in Italy on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy, presenting to Europe the latest scientific and technological achievements of the industrialization of Chinese hemp fiber, and winning confirmation from the textile associations of the EU member states who strongly expressed their hope to have the opportunity to carry out in-depth cooperation with Youngor, following the example of Marco Polo more than 700 years ago to introduce Chinese hemp into Europe like silk.

In 2018, it is expected that the hemp yarn sold to Europe and the United States will reach 1,000 tons. The U.S. petroleum industry recognizes the unique performance of hemp fiber in anti-static and high-temperature resistance and it purchases 500 tons of hemp yarn from China for work clothes every year.

Lighting up the sustainable and low-carbon future life
At present, Youngor has set up the Hemp Home and Hemp Household Business Department on the basis of the application of hemp fashion (apparel), and is ready to fully develop the hemp application market.

Ms. Wu Haiyan, Professor of China Academy of Art/Youngor HANP Consultant, said that the long-term lack of innovation in national products has led to those who pursue quality life in the pursuit of consumer preferences. The emergence of hemp from the source of the industry to the final product is completely a product of innovation. It is believed that it will bring a refreshing consumer experience and is loved by more and more people.

Ms. Zhang Quanling, the former host of CCTV and a well-known investor, became a fan of hemp.

She said that with the improvement of living standards, people have more pursuits for a better life. Green, low-carbon and environmental protection have become the symbol of quality life. Pure and natural pollution-free, hemp without pesticides and fertilizer residues has become the best product of the new era of consumption upgrade.
