Milan fashion creates a new card for Keqiao fashion
Politecnico di Milano Graduation Show highlighted at Keqiao Fashion Week

2018 Keqiao Fashion Week (Autumn), hosted by the People’s Government of Keqiao District, Shaoxing City was held in Keqiao, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. Keqiao from September 18th to 21st, which is actively grasping the strategic opportunities of the “Belt and Road” and fully integrating the international fashion ecosystem, to comprehensively build a new pattern of opening up to the outside world. The Fashion Week focused on the “Belt and Road” layout of China Textile City to explore and strengthen cooperation and exchange with Milan, the international fashion capital.
“Politecnico di Milano Graduation Show” made its debut during the Fashion Week, showcasing 50 sets of garments from the outstanding graduates of the School of Fashion Design, Politecnico di Milano, Italy, allowing the audience to witness the students’ skill in knitting technology and the innovation in fabric texture structure.
The organizer also specially invited Arturo Dell’Acqua Bellavitis, Former President of Fashion Design at Politecnico di Milano & Director of the Milan Triennale Foundation and Exposition, delivered a professional speech on international fashion and innovative design. He emphasized the thinking about design in the international context, as well as the analysis, re-creating and re-processing of various elements, bringing in-depth analysis and application inspiration to the guests.
In order to seize the new opportunities brought by the “Belt and Road” Initiative to the textile industry, in recent years, Keqiao District of Shaoxing City has actively implemented the “Silk Road Keqiao” three-year exhibition planning, planning and promoting a series of fashion creative activities at home and abroad. At the 8th Farini Street in Milan, Italy, the “Silk Keqiao · Milan Pavilion” with a total area of 500 square meters is also scheduled to open during Milan Fashion Week in October. As the “base camp” of Keqiao fabrics in Europe, more and more excellent Keqiao fabrics will be brought together, becoming a consulting platform for linking fashion, a resource window for linking trade and a brand window for promoting Keqiao fabrics.
In addition, with the completion of China Textile CBD - Oriental Milan International Fashion Center, it will become the permanent venue of the Fashion Week from 2018, and regularly hold the Spring and Autumn Fashion Week. It is reported that the “Oriental Milan” international Fashion Center is operated by the international fashion industry platform VIA DELLA SETA (VDS in short), which is located in China by Milan Huaxia Group of Italy, and normalizes the “every day fashion” series of activities. A variety of activities will be carried out to introduce Keqiao to the world, promote dialogue with international fashion, top design and cutting-edge trends, and further enhances Keqiao’s fashion status and industrial influence.
Since 2015, Keqiao Fashion Week has been successfully held for four sessions. With the theme of “New Layout of Fashion”, the Fashion Week is centered on the “International Fashion Week with Fashion and Creative Fabrics as the Core”, accumulating Keqiao-based domestic high-quality fashion fabric resources and excellent design strength.
