Environmental protection concept deeply rooted
in the industry

FatihKonukoglu, global CEO of ISKOTM, indicated that as the world’s leading high-end denim fabric manufacture, we knew that our choices could make a real difference to the environment and took social responsibility to maintain sustainable development. It corresponded to the current situation and demands of China, which was an important producer of denim fabric and in efforts to decrease pollution, so how can we solve the current predicament? Luckily, there were answers in each creative work of the competition, and fabrics of all works were from ISKOTM, which practiced the concept of “sustainable development” from R&D of products to production process, such as saving and recycling water, conserving electricity and reducing carbon emissions into all series of production and R&D of ISKOTM.

The products of Earth Fit™ of ISKOTM was the representative of denim fabric in "sustainable development". In the process of the products, they used healthy chemical additives, environmental organic cotton, fine cotton (BCI, Better Cotton Initiative), and regenerative cotton, as well as Polyester made from plastic bottles as raw material, with less energy consumption and pollution, obtaining Nordic SWAN Ecolabe. ISKOTM became the world’s first denim fabric enterprise to get this award. It was not only related to fashion, but also to industrial development, even to ecological civilization.

Deepen talent development path to influence denim fashion

The fierce competition also boosts the determination of ISKOTM to develop high-quality denim fabric and cultivate creative talents. Co-founded by ISKOTM from Turkey and its partners, ISKO I-SKOOL™ Denim Awards is a denim education training project to be committed to sharing the future trends and technology of denim industry and focusing on motivation, training and education. ISKO I-SKOOL™ aims to find and cultivate young talents through two different competitions of Denim Design Award and Denim Marketing Award, which are real competitions to supply professional knowledge and perfect practice to spread revolutionary denim technology, as well as a “community” gathering industry value of denim partners.

Cooperated with global leading design institutions, ISKO I-SKOOL™ Denim Awards is an achievement Outside School to find and reward talented students. It shares how to produce denim and the concept of industrialization, meanwhile it stimulates student’s design ability and creativity in tailoring. The four superior students with their teachers will be supported to participate in denim fashion salon in Milan, Italy and take part in the final as Chinese representatives. During the final, they will have chances to communicate with sponsors of SWAROVSKI, LENZING and others, so as to get a full understanding of industry knowledge and market condition, making designers form a forward-looking vision based on the whole industry chain.
