According to statistics from the Ministry of Finance and Economics of Cambodia, in the first quarter of 2021, the export value of ready-made garment, footwear, and travel goods was USD 2.4 billion, down 10 percent year-on-year. The delivery of ready-made garment was delayed due to work stoppings during the implementation of the city closure in Cambodia. The Garment Manufacturers Association of Cambodia (GMAC) stated that once the situation of the pandemic improves, the entire production chain will operate normally. It is reported that Cambodia’s ready-made garment exports in 2020 were USD 9.5 billion, lower than the USD 10.6 billion in the previous year.
