According to data by ACIMIT, orders from abroad and from the Italian domestic market have performed well this year, with the Italian textile machinery order index for January-March 2021 increasing by 66 percent compared to the same period in 2020.

ACIMIT sets the index for the first quarter of 2021 at 129.3 points (base: 2015=100). Orders from abroad increased by 68 percent, and the absolute value of the index reached 125.5 points. In the domestic market, the increase is still significant (54 percent compared to the first quarter of 2020), and the absolute value of the index is 164.1 points.
