2021 Zhejiang Export Virtual Fair (Russia-Textile) concludes

After months of preparation, 2021 Zhejiang Export Virtual Fair (Russia-Textile) hosted by Zhejiang Department of Commerce was successfully held from April 12-16.

This virtual fair brought together 40 textile companies from Zhejiang and displayed a total of more than 1,600 products. The richness of the exhibited products provided unlimited business opportunities and fully met the needs of different types of buyers. Attracted more than 110 high-quality buyers from Russia. During the five-day fair, suppliers and purchasers conducted a total of more than 170 precise matching sessions.
 
The statistica of the Russian Federal Customs Service show that from January to December in 2020, the value of Russia’s foreign trade is USD 571.9 billion, a decrease of 15.2 percent compared with the same period. Among them, the annual export trade in 2020 was USD 338.2 billion, a decrease of 20.7 percent compared with the same period; imports were USD 233.7 billion, down 5.7 percent from the same period; the trade surplus for the full year was USD 104.5 billion, down USD 73.9 billion from the same period. In the whole year of 2020, China became Russia’s largest trading partner, with bilateral trade volume reaching USD 103.9 billion. Apparel products accounted for 3 percent of Russia’s exports, down 6.1 percent. Russia’s current pandemic is still not better, coupled with the continuation of the world pandemic, the world energy and resource market downturn, the Russian economy will not be much better, but will continue to decline.
