“The total volume of textile industry in Jiangsu Province has been the first in China for more than 30 years. Textile industry is a traditional industry but by no means a ‘sunset industry’.” Han Ping, president of Jiangsu Textile Industry Association, said that the next step will be to add variety and quality, creates the brand as the key point, to develop new fabrics, brand clothing, modern home textile, etc., strengthen high value-added links such as creative design and brand operation, create world-renowned brands, gradually to the fashion industry transformation and upgrading.
