Xinjiang Korla Monitoring Station visited and investigated the Korla area and surrounding cotton-growing towns and farms.

The results show that the intended cotton planting area of machine-picked cotton in 2021 is 137,203 mu, an increase of 40,950 mu compared with the actual cotton planting area of 96,253 mu in 2020. Due to the high purchase price of seed cotton last year, cotton farmers’ intention to plant cotton has increased significantly this year.
