According to the data released by the General Administration of Customs of China on March 7, in the first two months of this year, due to the low base effect caused by the pandemic in the same period last year, the country’s exports of goods and textiles and apparel all achieved rapid growth of more than 40 percent.

In the first two months of 2021, the total value of imports and exports of goods trade was 5.44 trillion yuan, up 32.2 percent over the same period last year (the same below), of which exports were 3.05 trillion yuan, up 50.1 percent, and imports were 2.38 trillion yuan, up 14.5 percent.

In the first two months of 2021, the total value of imports and exports in goods trade reached USD 834.49 billion, up 41.2 percent over the same period last year, of which exports reached USD 468.87 billion, up 60.6 percent, and imports reached USD 365.62 billion, up 22.2 percent.

 

Exports of textile and apparel are in RMB:

 

In the first two months of 2021, the accumulative export of textile and apparel reached 301.36 billion yuan, up 44.7 percent, among which the export of textile reached 144.44 billion yuan, up 50.2 percent, and the export of apparel reached 156.92 billion yuan, up 40.0 percent.

In the first two months of 2021, the accumulative export of textile and apparel reached USD 46.18 billion, up 55.0 percent, of which the export of textile reached USD 22.13 billion, up 60.8 percent, and the export of apparel reached USD 24.05 billion, up 50.0 percent.
