According to statistics from Tianjin Customs, in the first seven months of this year, the export value of textile and apparel at Tianjin Port was 21.46 billion yuan, of which July performed well, with a total of 4.99 billion yuan in textile and apparel exports, a year-on-year increase of 26.7% and a month-on-month increase of 21.7%.

According to reports, textile exports at Tianjin Port are dominated by private enterprises. In the first seven months of this year, private enterprises at Tianjin Port exported 16.47 billion yuan in textiles and apparel, an increase of 2.6%, accounting for 76.7%. In addition, the main export destinations are the European Union, the United States and the ASEAN region. In the first seven months of this year, Tianjin Port exported textiles and apparel to the European Union 6 billion yuan, an increase of 23.4%; exports to the United States and ASEAN were 3.53 billion yuan and 2.72 billion yuan respectively.

 

Due to the impact of the pandemic, the international trade situation has been greatly affected this year. In order to ensure the export of textile and apparel products, Tianjin Customs has introduced a series of convenient customs clearance measures, formulated and implemented a long-term effective control mechanism for reducing export customs clearance, and continuously improved customs clearance efficiency.
