On November 1^st of 2014, the Textile Forum of the China Ecological Civilization Forum Chengdu Annual Conference was held in Chengdu, Sichuan province. Its theme focused on “Innovation and Ecological Civilization in Textile Industry”. Wang Tiankai, the president of China National Textile and Garment Council (CNTAC), Gao Yong, vice-director of CNTAC, Zhu Guangyao, vice-director of the Chinese Ecological Civilization Research and Promotion Association, and representatives of more than 40 enterprises attended the forum.

    On the forum, Mr. Gao Yong noted that in the following five years the priorities for sustainable development in the textile industry. He pointed out the CNTAC will cultivate several enterprises to carry out special experimental activities to develop ecological civilization, while by 2020, from step by step, 100 enterprises in textile industry will pilot the construction of ecological civilization in China.
