The data released by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany on the 7th showed that after working days and seasonal adjustments, German merchandise exports in June this year increased by 14.9% month-on-month, the largest month-on-month increase since August 1990; merchandise imports increased by 7% month-on-month. This is the largest month-on-month increase since May 2010.

 

Data show that in June, German merchandise exports and imports decreased by 9.4% and 10% year-on-year respectively. Among them, the value of German exports and imports to EU member states decreased by 11% and 10.6% year-on-year respectively in the same month; German exports and imports to countries and regions outside the EU decreased by 7.4% and 9.3% year-on-year.

 

The data also showed that German exports to China in the month were 8.3 billion euros, an increase of 15.4% year-on-year; China was Germany’s largest source of imports in June, and German imports from China were 9.7 billion euros, an increase of 20.2% year-on-year.
