In July, the domestic and foreign cotton market prices generally fluctuated within a range. In the first half of the year, cotton prices in the international market continued to rise due to production cut expectations and external markets. The main contract cotton futures price of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose from 61 cents/lb to close to 65 cents/lb, and then gradually fell back at 61.4 cents/lb on July 27, it was basically the same as the price at the beginning of the month. The domestic Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange’s main contract cotton futures price fluctuated within a narrow range of about 12,000 yuan/ton, and the price center moved slightly upward from June.
