Egypt to invest 21 billion Egyptian pounds to build the world’s largest spinning factory

Egyptian media reported on the local time on the 10th that Egyptian Minister of Public Affairs Sisham Taufik revealed that Egypt will start to build the world’s largest spinning factory in El-Mahalla El-Kubra, the largest city in the western province. The total planned investment of the project exceeds 21 billion Egyptian pounds (about 9.2 billion yuan). The plant has a construction area of 62,500 square meters and an average daily output of 30 tons of yarn. The plant construction period is about 14 months and the construction cost is about 780 million Egyptian pounds. The total planned investment is over 21 billion Egyptian pounds, which includes the plant and machinery and equipment, as well as management, marketing and training systems. The project plans to integrate 23 spinning, weaving, dyeing and printing and processing companies in Egypt into 9 companies, and at the same time triple the current production capacity. The merger of the company is expected to be completed by the summer of 2021.
