U.S. imports of cotton, wool, man-made fiber, silk blends, and non-cotton, vegetable fiber textile and apparel products totaled 4,009.5 million square meter equivalents (MSME) in April 2020, a decline of 23.6% compared to April 2019, of which, that of China were 1,473.5 MSME, a decline of 31.6% compared to April 2019. U.S. imports of textile were 2,499.0 MSME in April 2020, down 12.5% from April 2019. U.S. imports of apparel were 1,211.8 MSME in April 2020, down 40.5% from April 2019.

U.S. imports of textile and apparel were 18,666.8 MSME for the year-to-date April 2020, a decline of 13.8% from year-to-date April 2019, of which, that of China were 6,650.2 MSME, a decline of 27.2% compared to April 2019. U.S. imports of textiles were 11,450.2 MSME for the year-to-date April 2020, a decline of 10.6% from the year-to-date April 2019. U.S. apparel imports for the year-to-date April 2020 were 7,216.5 MSME, down 18.4% from the year-to-date April 2019.
