Guangxi Sericulture Science Museum was completed and opened

On December 12, Guangxi Sericulture Science Museum was officially opened. The museum is located in the sericulture technology promotion station in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is divided into history and culture, leadership care, industrial development, silkworm life, silkworm varieties, mulberry varieties, diversified development, technological innovation, photographic works, sericulture folk customs, poetry and proverbs, future prospects, etc., which allow the audience to further understand the history and culture of sericulture in China, the development of the sericulture industry in Guangxi, scientific knowledge of sericulture, and the diversified development of sericulture resources.
Mulberry breeding is a great invention of the Chinese nation. History goes back to ancient times. The sericulture and silk industry have spread Chinese culture to the world and played an important role in China’s economic and social development, diplomacy and trade. Guangxi mulberry breeding can be traced back to the Han Dynasty. Hepu was one of the earliest ports of departure for the “Maritime Silk Road”. Zhuang brocade is one of the four famous brocades and is world-famous. Since the 20th century, Guangxi’s sericulture industry has developed rapidly, creating a magical “Guangxi phenomenon” in the history of China’s sericulture. At present, the country is vigorously advancing the “Belt and Road” initiative. The museum aims to further carry forward and promote the Chinese silk civilization and bring the silk culture of the Chinese nation back to glory.
