The 7th China-Eurasia Expo Promotion Meeting Held in Beijing

On December 20, the 7th China-Eurasia Expo Promotion Meeting was held in Beijing. This Expo is hosted by Urumqi Municipal Government for the first time and will be held in Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center in Urumqi in September 2020. The 7th China-Eurasia Expo will be held from September 3rd to 7th, 2020, with the theme of “Communication, Construction and Sharing, Creating a Bright Future”. This Expo will focus on key industries such as “One Port”, “Two Districts”, “Five Centers”, and “Port Economic Belt”, and set up 12 exhibition themes of the 7 major exhibition areas, including investment cooperation exhibition areas, Silk Road Economic Belt core area construction exhibition areas, industrial new energy exhibition areas, and international trade innovation exhibition areas, the commodity trade exhibition area, the global open cooperation area, and the targeted poverty alleviation achievements exhibition area, and held 8 ministerial forums with a total exhibition area of 100,000 square meters.
Tajikistan’s ambassador to China, Parviz Dafratzoda, who participated in the promotion meeting, said that China’s Xinjiang has played an important role in promoting cooperation between China and Tajikistan, and 60% of foreign trade between China and Tajikistan is realized through Xinjiang Karasu port. The China-Eurasia Expo has been held for six times, and has been welcomed and paid close attention to by Tajikistan’s government and businesses. We look forward to the 7th China-Eurasia Expo successfully held.
“This is the first time that Urumqi has hosted the China-Eurasia Expo. With perfect exhibition facilities, first-class exhibition services and rich economic and trade activities, we will create an efficient and convenient exhibition and trading environment for Chinese and foreign merchants and build a good platform for trade negotiation and investment cooperation.” said Li Wei, deputy mayor of Urumqi and deputy secretary-general of the China-Eurasia Expo Secretariat.
Representatives from 26 international organizations and institutions in China, such as Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Dominica, Indonesia, Serbia, attended the promotion meeting.
At present, Xinjiang has successfully hosted six China-Eurasia Expo. A total of more than 70 countries and regions from five continents have participated in the conference. More than 50 high-level forums and special events have been held, signed a total amount of more than 1.3 trillion yuan for internal projects, foreign trade volume totaled nearly USD 36 billion.
