Since the beginning of this year, under the influence of factors such as the recovery of the domestic economy, the recovery of international market demand, the return of international orders, and the low base in the same period last year, the textile and apparel industry in Jiangxi Province has developed in a relatively good situation, with major economic indicators achieving substantial growth.

From January to February, the textile and apparel industry in Jiangxi Province achieved 22.4 billion yuan in revenue from main operations, a year-on-year increase of 37.1 percent; realized a profit of 1.41 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 66.8 percent. The actual export was 845 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 142.2 percent. Among the main products, 177 million pieces of clothing, an increase of 22.7 percent year-on-year; 223,000 tons of yarn, an increase of 46.7 percent; 110 million meters of cloth, an increase of 29.8 percent; and 174,000 tons of chemical fibers, an increase of 52.2 percent.
