China’s cotton imports fall more than 40% year-on-year in June

According to data from the online query platform of the General Administration of Customs, China’s cotton imports in June were 90,281.95 tons, a decrease of 42.70% from the previous month and an increase of 28.91% from the same period last year.

That month, the United States was the largest supplier. China imported 56,643.36 tons of cotton from the United States in June, an increase of 37.61% from the previous month and a decrease of 0.82% from the same period last year.
 
China imported 14,993.12 tons of cotton from Brazil in June, an increase of 11.85% month-on-month and a sharp decline of 28.62% year-on-year.
