At present, although the development of China textile industry is facing unprecedented difficulties, textile enterprises are actively accelerating transformation and upgrading in terms of globalization, intelligent manufacturing and R&D design, and actively fostering new advantages in foreign trade development.

On October 31, the third phase of the 126th China Import and Export Fair opened in Guangzhou, mainly exhibiting textiles and clothing, shoes, office bags and leisure products, medicine and medical care, and food products.

During the Canton Fair, according to a survey conducted by the China Textile Chamber of Commerce, the top ten textile companies in China have invested or cooperated overseas. In the first eight months of 2019, domestic companies’ exports were flat or slightly decreased. Exports have continued to grow, with growth ranging from 7% to 70%. The countries of investment are mainly concentrated in Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar. In the next five years, the company plans to transfer 20% to 30% of its production capacity to overseas plants. By accelerating the globalization, these Chinese textile companies have greatly improved their ability to take orders and international competitiveness.

According to reports, at present, China’s textile and garment foreign trade leading enterprises have accelerated the pace of construction of smart factories. The products are mainly concentrated in many fields such as yarn, fabrics, clothing, home textiles, etc., and comprehensively implement intelligent production and management in all aspects. Through upgrading, the intelligent spinning mill has increased the workload of 800 spindles per worker to 5,000 spindles, effectively reducing labor costs, improving production efficiency and steadily improving product quality.

According to the China Textile Chamber of Commerce, in the field of apparel, Chinese companies continue to increase investment in R&D and design, focusing on the procurement of basic equipment, personnel training and the application of new technologies. The R&D and design capabilities are steadily improving, providing better services to buyers and brands.
