Indian-Pakistani cotton yarn price rise and downstream enterprises do not accept

Apr 10, 2019  |  by CT
In recent weeks, cotton yarn prices in India and Pakistan have risen, while cotton yarn prices in China have remained stable. With the reduction of cotton consumption in various countries, cotton prices may stop rising.

Last week, Indian cotton prices continued to rise, and then began to stabilize. Yarn mills raised their quotations to offset loss of profits, but downstream companies may refuse to increase the price of cotton yarn.

China's cotton prices continue to rise slowly, but there is no change in cotton yarn prices, seasonal demand is increasing, and cotton yarn production is also increasing. Market participants continue to wait for the end of Sino-US trade negotiations as soon as possible before deciding whether to increase replenishment.

In terms of chemical fibre products, the prices of all kinds of products have not changed, indicating that the market is not very active this year. The price of viscose may stop falling after the production of viscose staple fiber is reduced in China.
