Xinjiang Aksu plans to grow 7.5 million mu of cotton in 2019

Cotton planting area in Aksu region will be controlled at 7.5 million mu in 2019, a decrease of more than 400,000 Mu compared with the same period last year, with a total output of 900,000 tons. As a cotton planting area of the whole country and Xinjiang Autonomous Region, Aksu will promote the improvement of cotton quality, increase production efficiency and increase farmers' income in 2019.
At the same time, Aksu region will continue to do a good job in the construction of "Cotton Industry Alliance". It will build six regional alliances in Shaya, Awati, Kuqa, Xinhe, Aksu and Wensu counties (cities), guide more textile enterprises, processing enterprises and cooperatives, and build a cotton industry interest community through the way of "enterprise + cooperative + farmers". In 2019, the demonstration area of "Cotton Industry Alliance" was 2.5 million mu, and the output of high-quality cotton was 350,000 tons.
