An interpretation to Made in China by a national team of textile machinery

- Interview with Ye Maoxin, Vice President of China Hi-Tech Group Corporation

China Hi-Tech Group Corporation (CHTC) is a national team and leader of China’s textile machinery industry, also the only state-owned large-scale central enterprise focusing on textile machinery industry that is directly supervised by The Stateowned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

CHTC undertakes the mission of the revitalization of national industry, and its every move is bound to become the focus of the industry; CHTC is a business card of China’s textile machinery manufacturing, striving for the re-valuation of Made in China in the process of expanding overseas markets; CHTC is the vanguard of the industry development, always shouldering the responsibility to lead the development of China’s textile industry.

How does CHTC respond to the rapid changes in the market during the crucialperiod of the industrial transformation and upgrading and structural adjustments? In the upcoming ITMA ASIA + CITME 2016,what will CHTC demonstrate and what are the highlights of the products? Are there any differences? To this end, the reporter of China Textile Magazine had an interview with Ye Maoxin, Vice President of China Hi-Tech Group Corporation.

China Textile: ITMA ASIA + CITME 2016 is to ring its curtain in Shanghai on October 21st, would you please give us a brief introduction to CHTC exhibits and exhibition scale?

Mr. Ye: ITMA ASIA + CITME 2016 will move to National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) for the first time this year, which is the most obvious change for this exhibition. During the exhibition, CHTC exhibits will mainly focus on the complete sets of cotton spinning equipment (including weaving), complete sets of chemical fiber equipment, dyeing and finishing equipment and non-woven equipment.

The first is automatic plant solutions to complete sets of cotton equipment, especially Jingwei E System, and high-speed air-jet looms, rapier looms, high-speed warp knitting machines and new multifunction digital circular knitting machines. The second is high-capacity complete sets of chemical fiber spinning equipment. The third is “One-stop Sustainable Solutions” of dyeing and finishing equipment. The fourth one goes to the non-woven sector, including a new generation of high-speed carding machine, cross lapping machine, high-efficiency thermal double-belt dryer, needle-punching machine and automatic logistic transportation technology.

From the distribution of the exhibition halls, CHTC mainly covers H2, focusing on spinning, chemical fiber and non-woven equipment to mainly display the complete sets of spinning equipment from Jingwei Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. and the chemical fiber spinning equipment from Zhengzhou Textile Machinery Engineering &Technology Co., Ltd., as well as the nonwoven equipment from Germany Autefa Solutions Group and China Textile Science & Technology Co., Ltd. H6 is about dyeing and finishing, where Fong’s dyeing and finishing equipment is to be displayed, while the warp knitting machine from Changde Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. will be exhibited in H4. CHTC covers a total area of more than 3,000 square meters while over 2,000 square meters are covered in H2.

The exhibits this year is around the industrial 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing 2025, for example, cotton spinning equipment has seen an overall redesign in terms of automation and information technology for further improved integrity of efficiency, automation, and reliability. The dyeing and finishing equipment has also witnessed further improvements in energy-saving and consumption-reducing indicators.

Specifically, in the field of cotton spinning equipment, Jingwei Textile Machinery focuses on the development of short process, continuous high efficiency, automation, energy saving and intelligence. The application of network communications, electronics, testing, precision manufacturing technologies in equipment manufacturing has significantly enhanced the product stability, reliability, intelligence and energy saving. In addition, network monitoring and management as well as expert system has been applied to the spinning workshop.

In the field of chemical fiber equipment, CHTC is one of three major manufacturers of polyester staple fiber equipment globally and the world’s largest supplier of complete sets of viscose equipment. The polyester staple fiber production line with an annual output of 225 tons and complete sets of viscose staple fiber equipment production line with an annual output of 100,000 tons have been widely used. The high-performance fibers and green fibers such as carbon fiber, aramid fiber, high-strength high-modulus polyethylene fiber complete sets of equipment and technology have also achieved industrialization.

In the field of dyeing and finishing equipment, CHTC Fong’s Industries Company Limited is serving more than 5,700 users worldwide, and launches over 2,000 advanced dyeing and finishing equipment to the international market every year. CHTC Fong’s focuses on energy saving, environmental protection new technology research and development, enjoying ultralow bath ratio overflow dyeing technology, high-end airflow and flat continuous dyeing,  heat recovery system and water reuse technology, and the one-stop sustainable solutions in dyeing and finishing.

In the field of non-woven equipment, CHTC has been closely following the development trend of international nonwovens to conduct studies in composite spinning technology and non-woven fabric processing technology, forming a new generation of non-woven fabric complex set of equipment. Germany Autefa Solutions Group and China Textile Science & Technology Co., Ltd., the leading suppliers of non-woven machinery, offer various types of spunbond, meltblown, spunlaced, hotair, non-woven complete sets of equipment and the whole process solutions.

China Textile: What are the highlights this year? And are there any differences? What are your expectations for this event?

Mr. Ye: In addition to displaying the real machine on the spot, a big move of CHTC is that the online textile machinery exhibition and online electronic spare parts store will be officially launched. They will focus on more value-added services to customers, a more convenient understanding of the machinery plants, and efficient, fast, and low-cost access to spare parts, which are also the focus that CHTC is to be mainly engaged in.

While shopping on Taobao, what customers worry about is the inconsistency of what we see and what we receive. However, the spare parts recommended in the online spare parts store are all manufactured by the own subsidiaries of CHTC with high quality. All models of spare parts could be found in the store so that the customers can really buy original parts with reasonable prices, instead of a number of round transactions before getting the product, saving the user costs and the circulation time. The online shopping mall is a store running 24-hour × 365 days, so that the users can see the exhibits of the online exhibition at any time. In the future, there will be a platform for cotton yarn and product transactions to integrate e-commerce to customer service.

Host machine is of relatively strong individuality, therefore, in addition to selling spare parts online, we also set up a separate exhibition hall for host machine, which would quickly display a lot of exhibits through videos. Thus, the user companies are capable of getting a comprehensive understanding of the structure and usage of equipment without field visits to textile enterprises. For example, Texhong Group in Xinjiang is using our latest automated complete sets of spinning equipment, and users who want to have a look at it on the spot will have to pay at least 10,000 yuan for a round-trip air tickets, accommodation, ect.; however, now only a website can help you visit Texhong at home, where you can acquire a very detailed description of the equipment, and even some simulation functions.

Through attending this exhibition,we hope to achieve a few expectations: The first is to help the customers have a thorough understanding of CHTC’s engagement. The second is to make the users better understand the future development direction and the corporate culture of CHTC. The third is capable of working with customers to study the future development trend of textile machinery.
