In spite of a less growth percentage of the scale than the previous years, the exhibition this year is still the world’s largest textile machinery exhibition most valued by textile machinery enterprises globally.
Since the first edition of the combined show in 2008, ITMA ASIA + CITME has been witnessing a constant rising number of visitors at home and abroad. The exhibition in 2014 received a total of 100,000 professional visitors and industry insiders, of which 20% were from overseas countries and regions. In recent years, with the rapid development of the textile industry in India, Pakistan and Indonesia, their demands for new equipment and new technology have been increasingly high, together with strengthened national policies to support the development of the industry.
The exhibition this year is likely to set a record in the organization of professional visitors.
In order to invite high-quality overseas visitors, the organizers cooperated with nearly 50 professional media around the world to publish the news of the show, and won great supports from Bangladesh (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association), Vietnam (Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association), Pakistan (All Pakistan Textile Mills Association), Indonesia (Indonesian Textile Association), South Korea (Korea Federation of Textile Industries), Chinese Taiwan (Taiwan Textile Federation), Turkey (Turkish Textile Employers Association), Japan (Japan Fiber Industry Association), India (The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, TEXPROCIL), Thailand (Thailand Textile Institute), Malaysia (Malaysian Textile Manufacturers Association), Italy (Italian Textile and Garment Association) and Germany (German Textile and Garment Association).
In order to promote the healthy development of the industry, the intellectual property protection work has been one of the most important tasks for each edition of the show. It is learned that before the opening of this exhibition, all the exhibitors at home and abroad allowed to participate in the fair and the organizers have signed the “Commitment To Intellectual Property Protection”, promising to abide by the intellectual property laws of People’s Republic of China as well as the coordination and handling suggestions from administrative law enforcement departments at all levels and the IP offices to actively cooperate with the handling procedures for the protection of intellectual property rights. For this exhibition, the organizers will continue to set up a special office of intellectual property for on-site supervision and handling of intellectual property disputes.
The Intellectual Property Office includes legal advisers, legal experts and technical experts from Shanghai Intellectual Property Office invited by the exhibition organizers.
