The Campaign for Wool, initiated by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales was launched in China on March 28, 2012, in Beijing.
The ongoing rise of the Chinese fashion industry and the country’s growing economy makes it an important step for The Campaign for Wool, which was begun with the goal of educating the world about the natural benefits of wool from fashion through to interiors and the built environment surrounding everyday life.
WOOL MODERN, the exhibition first launched in London in September 2011 by The Campaign for Wool will be installed at Bund 18, Shanghai starting October 24th; with the addition of ten uniquely created pieces by highly skilled Chinese designers and artists.
Chinese designers and artists participating in WOOL MODERN include Vega, Zhangchi, Xander and Shanghai Tang.

The exhibition is set to break traditional perceptions of the wool fibre and create a new platform for wool in the 21st century. The exhibition is to be held in October at Bund 18, Shanghai.
Internationally renowned Chinese manufactures Linglong, Nanshan, Shandong Ruyi, Shenzhou, Sunshine, Xin’ao and Yangzi have already agreed to show their support of The Campaign for Wool and what it stands for.
Madam Peng Yanli, President of China Wool Textile Association (CWTA) commented; “The Campaign for Wool in China will provide valuable opportunities for Chinese people to learn about the mastery of working with wool from international designers and artists.

In addition to the Wool Modern exhibition, a "Campaign for Wool" high-end pop-up store is expected to open in Shanghai this year, making innovative wool products accessible to all.
The Campaign for Wool begun in Sept 2010 in the United Kingdom and has since launched in Germany, Japan, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands.
