Organised by World Textile Information Network (WTiN) and co-organised by UBM China and Shanghai International Digital Printing Industry Fair (TPF), China Digital Textile Conference will be held on April 18 at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai. The forum will attract more than 250 worldwide professionals on digital printing machinery and technology suppliers, end users of digital printing, and college experts, as well as designers. The speakers’ line-up has more than 18 experts and leaders of textile digital printing industry.
The conference is strategically organised along with the exhibition providing visitors a complete experience and insight about the industry as well as sourcing exhibited technology and raw material. The 8th edition of Shanghai International Digital Printing Industry Fair (TPF) is held at Shanghai New International Expo Centre from April 19 to 21, 2017. As the most influential digital printing exhibition in Asia, TPF 2017 will attract over 230 exhibitors.
Conference to focus on new business opportunities
The conference will attract leading digital printing machinery companies, ink suppliers, digital printing consumables and design software. As the most influential conference in digital textile industry, CDTC will be a platform for suppliers and users to discuss the opportunities and challenges of this rapid-growing industry. Incidentally, this is the second time WTiN and TPF have collaborated. In 2016, speakers from Reggiani, SPG Print, Kornit, Sensient and Digitex shared their views on the opportunities and challenges brought about by rapid development of digital printing.
Among the highlights is the ‘WTiN Professional Insights into Future Development’. Tansy Fall, Editor digital textile of WTiN will speak on the size and shape of digital textile market. Fall’s focus will be on where key growth markets are currently within the industry, forecast future growth.
This year will see specific knowledge sharing session for end-users. Top industry experts from textile industry, dyeing industry and printing design industry will share their insights on New Age digital printing, and give future direction and application advantages of digital printing. Here suppliers can interact with users and share the solutions of bottlenecks at the production proceed.
B V Denis Jahic, Regional Sales Manager of SPG Prints will speak on ‘Digital Textile Printing Technology Enabling Fast Fashion’. He who highlight on life cycle inventory analysis to assess the environmental impact of digital printing technology compared to rotary screen printing. In addition, the problem on how
to display the best colour effect on the fabric always bothers downstream users and designers. Also, Luca Sandron, International Sales Manager, In èdit Software, and echnical support manager in Asia Kevin Liu will discuss on the importance of colour management software and techniques of getting the perfect colour on the fabric.
Focus on China market
China is the world’s biggest producer of digitally printed textiles. Year 2015 saw a strong increase in installed base of digital printing capacity in China, as well as in the number of domestically manufactured textile machines. As per the estimates, the growth rate of digital textile printing production in China could be up to 150 per cent from 2014-2019. Digital textile printing & market share will be 7.2 per cent in 2019, with market expectations to reach 2,000 sqm of total yield, and 100 per cent equipment replacement. WTiN estimates digital textile market growth at 30 per cent in 2016.
China textile and dyeing industry are still leading in the world. In 2016, China has stepped into single-pass era. The domestic market sales director of Hangzhou Hong Hua Digital Technology (ATEXCO) will explore opportunities in China and challenges in single pass era. Also, experts will discuss on special performance criteria required in sublimation transfer papers for the latest generation of fast digital textile production printer. There will opportunities for group discussion and a half hour panel discussion for delegates. Attendees can interact with speakers and understand topics of digital printing industry, including industry development trends, obsession and solutions of end-users, advantages of digital printing in sustainable development, and its applications on fast fashion.
Workshops – an added attraction
To provide more opportunities for exhibitors to promote their high-quality products and new technologies, TPF 2017 will organise several product and technical presentations. Workshops on different topics will be held, giving an opportunity to gain knowledge about digital printing and its development, as well as market insights and design trends. They will focus on the hot topics of digital printing, such as applications of digital printing, ink technology, print head technology, design software and printing design trends. Industry specialists will share their knowledge to help companies stay competitive.
