Even as summer warmth lingers, China’s knitting industry is already planning for “the coming winter”. This forward‑looking mindset embodies the core spirit of the PH Value Autumn/Winter Knitwear Show over its two‑decade journey: rather than chasing fleeting trends, it creates them.

From August 25 to 27, the 2026 China International Knitwear (Autumn/Winter) Expo (hereinafter referred to as the 2026 PH Value Autumn/Winter Knitwear Show) will open at Hall 3 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Marking the 20th anniversary of the China International Knitwear Expo’s collaboration with industry peers, this edition brings together over 200 exhibiting enterprises and nearly ten featured industrial clusters across a 14,000‑square‑metre exhibition hall. It showcases the latest achievements of China’s knitting industry as it transforms from “manufacturing” to “smart manufacturing”, opening a brand‑new chapter for the sector.

Held concurrently within the same venue alongside the China International Textile Fabrics & Accessories (Autumn/Winter) Expo, China International Clothing & Accessories Fair (Autumn Edition), and China International Yarn (Autumn/Winter) Exhibition, the four‑event alliance covers the full industrial chain spanning yarns, fabrics and finished garments. At a critical juncture for the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade, the PH Value Knitwear Show serves as an industry weathervane, continuously acting as a critical link connecting upstream and downstream players while bridging domestic and global markets.

Fashion at Home and Abroad — New Trends Woven in One Show

Key production hubs of China’s knitting industry will once again stage a full‑scale showcase in Hall 3 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Centred on four themed zones — Premium Craftsmanship, Texture Poetics, Motion Space and Material Aesthetics, the show introduces a new section entitled “New Knitting Realm · Harmonious Pet‑human Lifestyle”. It presents a complete ecological panorama of China’s knitting sector, covering everything from raw‑material weaving to end‑consumer application scenarios.

In the Premium Craftsmanship zone, five major wool‑knitting industrial clusters — Puyuan, Qinghe, Haiyang, Ordos and Dalang — take part. Outstanding knitwear enterprises including Diaoshuai, Shenaier, Daohe, Xiaohe, Jinse Nianhua, Langkun, Yaqi, Daifei and Shuangqi unveil their newest collections. Collectively, they demonstrate cutting‑edge design concepts and innovative craftsmanship for cashmere, wool and flat‑knit apparel.

The Texture Poetics zone brings time‑honoured domestic brands such as Sanqiang, Tongniu and Gujin onto the same stage with rising design‑driven players including Zongyuan and Qianhong. Through modern reinterpretations of knitwear, they drive consumer evolution from functional comfort to self‑expressive aesthetics. Meanwhile, underwear industrial clusters of Yanbu and Xiaolan roll out new portfolios of intimate apparel, delivering superior comfort to satisfy diverse demands of modern lifestyles.

Within the Motion Space, exhibition delegations from Qingshanhu (Nanchang) and Shuoguo (Zaozhuang) lead the sport‑casual track. Enterprises such as Beide, Jifa and Boerman display functional sport‑casual fashion pieces. Market demands fuelled by the national fitness initiative are precisely addressed stitch by stitch by these manufacturers. In the Material Aesthetics section, Yasi, Yibai, Smart Knit‑Pattern and other participants present impressive works where knitwear fashion intersects with digital‑era technologies.

Notably, following its debut at the 2026 Greater Bay Area Knitwear Show, the section “New Knitting Realm · Harmonious Pet‑human Lifestyle” makes its return for this autumn‑winter edition. Built around the core ethos of “Warmth · Companionship · Sustainability”, it deeply integrates traditional knitting craftsmanship with the booming “pet economy”. Exhibits span four major life scenarios: pet apparel, pet home bedding, travel accessories and custom workshops. It responds to nuanced demands of the pet‑human co‑living era with knitted warmth, honours sustainable‑fashion commitments through eco‑friendly processes, and injects heartfelt industrial momentum into the pet economy.

Trend‑setting Power — New Visions Unveiled at One Show

While on‑site exhibits mirror the industry’s present‑day landscape, the Knitwear Trend Pavilion and Joint Knit‑Fashion Innovation Pavilion shine a light on its future.

First launched in 2016, the Knitwear Trend Showcase is entering its 11th edition this year. Centred on the theme Wild Breath for wool‑based sport‑knitwear, it also features three sub‑zones: Adaptive Realm for functional fabrics, New Chapters for fashion knitwear, and Root‑Back‑to‑Earth for eco‑sustainable solutions. These three dimensions correspond respectively to technology empowerment, design‑led innovation and green‑industry responsibility. Annual trends in colour, material and craftsmanship are decoded here. For exhibitors and professional buyers, this is far more than a place to observe trends — it is where industry directions are set.

The Joint Pavilion hosted by the Fancy‑and‑Melange Yarn Branch of the China Knitting Industry Association makes a high‑profile appearance. Enterprises including UPW, Baolisi, CKRC, Tianhe, Haochen, Tianzhifang and Shizhang exhibit collectively, presenting full‑chain innovations spanning yarn R&D, process innovation, fashion design and brand application. Advanced materials, new processes and cutting‑edge technologies merge with fashion design and brand‑oriented services. The show evolves beyond a mere product‑display window into an innovation accelerator driving the knitting industry’s upgrading.

Integrated Runway‑Exhibition — Business Opportunities Brought Together

A full calendar of core events pulses with industry dynamics: the “Puyuan Sweater” Fashion Show continues to amplify the brand influence of this renowned knitwear town; the 2026 Guizhou Textile & Garment Industry Promotion Event (Shanghai) facilitates east‑west industrial collaboration. The Qingshanhu Modern Knit‑Textile Industry Promotion Conference, paired with the “Qingshanhu Knit‑Textile” Joint Fashion Show, delivers fresh narratives for traditional industrial clusters. The 2026 Fancy‑&‑Melange Yarn Industry Trend Salon explores upstream raw‑material innovation and decodes prevailing yarn trends. Knitting Forward · Tech Empowerment — the 2026 PH Value Knitting Technology Exchange offers a platform for in‑depth industry reflection and technological foresight.

Business‑matching sessions underscore the show’s tangible commercial value. Three dedicated matchmaking streams — the E‑commerce Special Session, Brand‑Oriented Session and Overseas Session — adopt a full‑service model of “targeted invitation + demand matching + on‑site negotiation”. They precisely connect apparel brands, cross‑border traders, e‑commerce livestream agencies and other multi‑channel buyers. For exhibitors, the exhibition floor doubles as a marketplace, and visitor traffic translates into tangible business deals. Seamless supply‑and‑demand bridging closes the gap between product display and real‑world transactions.

Over the past two decades, the PH Value Knitwear Show has grown from a simple trade fair into a comprehensive industrial platform for new‑product launches, trend analysis, technical exchanges and business cooperation. Against the backdrop of integrated domestic and foreign‑trade development, PH Value continues to function as an industry weathervane, linking upstream‑downstream stakeholders and connecting Chinese and global markets.

This August, Shanghai will host conversations centred on knit‑fashion, design and commerce. For China’s knitting industry, this represents not only a 20‑year‑long reunion for PH Value participants, but also a window showcasing new advances in product upgrading and cross‑sector integration. From “every stitch and thread” to “everything can be knitted”, China’s knitting story has been rewritten over two decades — and it continues to unfold.
