Henan textile and apparel exports grew at an average annual rate of 6.6%. What about the clothing industry in Xinxiang?

On October 16th, in the National Xinxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, the first “Brilliant in Central Plains, Green Textile and Apparel Industry Summit Forum” was successfully held. The reporter learned at the forum that the textile and apparel industry in Henan Province has achieved rapid development in recent years and the export trade has continued to improve.
The relevant person in charge of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles said in his speech that the development of textile and garment industry in Henan Province and Xinxiang City has gradually entered a good situation. According to the statistics of the Chamber of Commerce, in the past four years, the export of textile and garment in Henan Province has grown at an average annual rate of 6.6%, among which the annual growth rate of Xinxiang City’s export has reached 13.3%.
According to reports, the textile and garment industry is a traditional advantage industry in Xinxiang City and one of the four pillar industries of Xinxiang City. The production capacity of viscose filaments ranks first in the world, and the output of cotton yarn ranks second in the province, the overall strength of the textile industry ranks third in the province, and the textile industry output value reaches 12 billion yuan in 2018.
Xinxiang is in line with the positioning of “big green fiber, new chemical fiber, strong spinning, fine dyeing and printing, and large clothing”, relying on leading enterprises such as Bailu Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. and China Textile Academy Green Fiber Co., Ltd. to accelerate the construction of a professional green fiber park with a total area of 10.5 square kilometers, and striving to build a modern clothing industry cluster integrating textile, weaving, dyeing and printing, and clothing.
At present, Xinxiang Economic Development Zone is a national-level green park, a national-level foreign trade transformation and upgrading base, and a provincial-level textile industry export base. It has successively gathered downstream enterprises such as spinning, fabrics, dyeing and finishing, and clothing, and gradually formed a good pattern of leading by brand enterprises, driving by technological innovation, and development of the whole industrial chain of industry, research, supply and marketing.
