150 college students in Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology became the first batch of “Textile Vision Science & Education Fund” recipients

On May 14, 2018 – 2019 the grant ceremony of “Textile Vision” was held in Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology. Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology currently has 13,343 students, 80% of the students majoring in textile and apparel and related subjects, of which 45% are students in the central and western regions, and nearly 4,000 are identified as students with family financial difficulties. In March 2018, Textile Vision Science & Education Fund decided to set up a 300,000 yuan “Textile Vision” grant to support 150 students from poor families in Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology, to make every effort to subsidize the living and learning expenses of poor college students, so that they could not be troubled by economic pressure, concentrate on their studies, after graduation, based on the textile and garment industry, to become a person of greater value to society.
The project of “Textile Vision, Learning Aid Dream” has been strongly supported by the Party Committee of the China National Textile and Apparel Council and people from all walks of life. The China Textile and Apparel Education Society took the lead in donating 50,000 yuan and 20,000 yuan. Since then, various units of the China National Textile and Apparel Council have actively participated in donations, donating 145,000 yuan in one month. In October 2018, Textile Vision Science & Education Fund launched the “Textile Vision, Learning Aid Dream” public funding project through QQ.com for the first time. As of January 2019, more than 86,000 yuan had been donated by 1,629 individuals. During this period, 38 enthusiasts, acting on their own initiative and voluntarily in the name of individuals or organizations, successfully completed the task of collecting donations.
After the grant ceremony, a symposium on “Textile Vision” Student Award, Teacher Award and Grant was held. Some of the awarded teachers and students talked freely about their experience in teaching, learning and growth, expressed their love for the apparel industry, and put forward suggestions for award selection.
