The climate index of textile and apparel specialized market rises in November

The national textile and apparel market managers’ climate index was 51.88 in November 2021, up 0.75 from 51.13 in October. The specialized market merchants’ climate index rose 0.73 percentage points to 51.32 from 50.59 in October. In November, the climate index of textile and apparel specialized market increased slightly compared with October, and the sales of winter clothing was good, according to the results of the China Commercial Circulation Association of Textile and Apparel (CATA).
1. Managers’ and merchants’ climate index is on the rise
Data show that in November, the various climate indexes of managers and merchants in the national textile and apparel specialized market increased slightly compared with October, and the sales of winter clothing in the specialized market were good.

2.1 The total market operation and passenger flow index increased
In November, the proportion of the increase in the operation of the selected market was 54.84 percent, an increase of 25.81 percentage points from October; the percentage of the increase in the market passenger flow of the selected market was 51.61 percent, an increase of 29.03 percentage points from October; the total market operation index and the overall passenger flow index rise.
2.2 The overall sales volume and profit index of merchants increased
In November, the proportion of the increase in the total sales of the selected merchants was 37.67 percent, 15.90 percentage points higher than that in October; the proportion of the increase in the profit of the selected merchants was 36.99 percent, an increase of 17.26 percentage points from October; both the total sales index and profit index of merchants overall rose.
3. The forecast index is good
The data shows that in terms of managers, the next managers’ climate index is 52.58, an increase of 2.58 percentage points from October’s 50.00; the next operating environment index is 50.97, an increase of 1.94 percentage points from October’s 49.03. In terms of merchants, the next merchants’ climate index is 51.37, an increase of 2.32 percentage points from October’s 49.05; the next operating environment index is 51.37, an increase of 2.46 percentage points from October’s 48.91. In terms of the forecast index, winter clothing sales in the textile and apparel specialized market continued to improve, and managers and merchants in specialized market are more confident in December’s sales.
