New fashion, new design, new business - 2020 China Textile Innovation Conference & Design Summit

On July 17, the “2020 China Textile Innovation Conference & Design Summit” was successfully held in Dalang Fashion Town, Longhua District, Shenzhen City. With the theme of “New Fashion, New Design, New Business”, this “Design Summit” looks at the development trend and innovation path of China’s fashion industry from the perspective of the macro situation and top-level planning. At the same time, starting from the three topics of “value driving force, green competitiveness, and digital growth”, it focuses on the return of cultural self-confidence and the improvement of consumer quality, focuses on sustainable new fashion and design development paradigms, and discusses the integration of Internet commerce and smart fashion.



The theme conference focuses on the theme of the conference, with keynote reports and keynote speeches as the main content to interpret the current national and industry innovation design policies and industry development trends. With new fashion design as the core, we will jointly discuss the “new fashion” that meets the needs of green and sustainable consumption in the new era, the “new design” of Chinese cultural confidence, and the “new business” under the trend of big data business interconnection. Activities such as the awarding ceremony of the 2020 China Textile Industry Industrial Design Center and the display of research results on artificial intelligence innovation in the fashion industry were also held at the conference. Chen Dapeng, vice president of China National Textile and Apparel Council, president of China National Garment Association, chaired the conference.



Zhang Nasha, member of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Longhua District Committee and executive deputy district mayor, delivered a speech at the conference. She introduced that Dalang Clothing, as one of the four well-known brands in the district, accounted for 30% of the clothing sales of first-class shopping malls in the country, forming an industrial pattern of “national women’s clothing in Shenzhen, and Shenzhen women’s clothing in Dalang”; As one of the six key areas in the district, it has invested more than 10 billion yuan in total, introduced more than 500 brand companies, and successively won five national honors including the “National Famous Brand Demonstration Zone in the Fashion Clothing Industry”. She also pointed out that in the future, Dalang Town will aim to build a world-class fashion industry cluster, highlight creative design capabilities, and strive to create “two districts and three centers”, namely, fashion corporate headquarters, fashion creative talents cluster, fashion innovation center, fashion publishing center, and fashion consumption center.



In the keynote report of “New Fashion, New Design, New Business - New Ecology of the Development of China’s Textile and Apparel Industry”, Sun Ruizhe, president of China National Textile and Apparel Council, explained the new features of new fashion, new design and new commerce in the context of textile and apparel industry, and four relationships that need to be grasped for the current and future industrial development are also analyzed. He pointed out that China’s textile industry will face many challenges in 2020, but the firm pace of transformation and upgrading has not stopped. In the new era, the new fashion presents the outstanding characteristics the connection from life to production, the transition from consumption to green, and the deep integration of individuals to groups; the new design embodies the prominent features of productivity, simplicity and coordination of design; the new business shows outstanding characteristics from O2O to OAO, from store-driven to data-driven, from industry retail to borderless retail. He emphasized that the focus should be on grasping the four internal development relationships, namely, the relationship between division of labor and coordination, the relationship between inheritance and transcendence, the relationship between tools and goals, and the relationship between development and responsibility.

In the keynote speech “New Fashion, New Design, New Business”, Pan Ming, the president of Shenzhen Garment Industry Association, emphatically explained the opportunities and challenges of the digital transformation of Shenzhen’s apparel industry; Li Jianhua, chairman of Hangzhou Wensli Silk Culture Co., Ltd., explained the countermeasures under the uncertain situation; Qian Xiaoyun, chairman of Hangzhou Yifengge Clothing Co., Ltd. and founder of the Eifini brand, brought new sharing of the digital development of fashion brands.
