ISPO BEIJING: New Exhibitors and Platforms

On Feb. 27, 2013, ISPO BEIJING 2013 (the 9th International tradeshow for sports Equipment and Fashion in Asia) will open its doors once again at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.
 
Leading brands such as Mammut and Haglöfs will exhibit at ISPO BEIJING for the first time. With a history of over 150 years, Mammut is going to enter the Chinese market officially in collaboration with the Swiss National Tourist Office. Haglöfs, an important brand from Sweden, will exhibit all their ISPO AWARD winning gear to illustrate its top-notch identity in the industry. What’s worth special attention is the addition of Adidas, Li Ning and other traditional sports key player into the outdoor segment. ISPO BEIJING 2013 will mark their first official appearance in the Chinese market, showing their decision to explore a new horizon.
 
Active participation from sports and fashion brands will result in another expansion of ISPO BEIJING to cover over 40,000 sqm that is expected to host more than 600 brands in outdoor, fashion, ski and action sports. Brands including Alpine Pro, DC, K2, Nitro, Nordica, Northwave, Salewa, X-bionic, Kolumb, Toread, Mobi Garden, Protest, Smith Optics and others will again highlight some of the latest trends and innovations about to appear in the market.

ISPO AWARD, the world-leading award for innovations in sports business, will display its latest winners and nominees to visitors in Beijing. The newly-established Asian Products award has been created to recognize outstanding products from China and Asia.
 
Turf, mud, dry soil, gravels, plastic, asphalt – these are what cross-country runners usually tread on. ISPO BEIJING 2013 will for the first time open a simulation test zone consisting of all six different road surfaces. Free test-running will be offered by multiple running shoe brands to retailers, professional athletes and sports enthusiasts to help them feel the function and comfort of the products.
 
As a new growth point in the apparel and footwear market, kids’ products are gaining increased investment from sports brands. ISPO BEIJING 2013 will give significant inspiration on how to present and sell kid’s sportswear in shops successfully.
 
At the same time, Outdoor Industry Forum, Asian Pacific Snow Conference (APSC) and Sports Fashion Trends Forum will continue to share information, experiences and industry trends with the audience. The FSPA and OIA will be bringing a group of brands for the second year, promoting their authentic UK heritage in the Outdoor sector particularly.
Professional skateboard brands from Europe, USA and China will again present their exciting performances at the ISPO BEIJING Skate competition. And the simulation rock and ice walls are going to be battleground for climbing athletes from all over the world.
 
ISPO BEIJING 2012 attracted 516 brands from 21 countries and 24,507 visitors, breaking historical records in many aspects. In 2013 ISPO BEIJING is expected to make history again during the 4-day exhibition to meet growing demands from exhibitors and visitors. ISPO BEIJING 2013 will present more brands, products, technologies, trends and business opportunities. It will also continue to be the best meeting place for friends, old and new, and the priority platform for the Asian-Pacific sports business industry.
