Travel in denim

On 14th June, CCI joined hands with its licensees Cone Denim and Indigo Tank to launch the “Travel in Denim” collection in Guangzhou, China. The collection was designed by Chen Wen, the most influential denim designer in China to demonstrate how quality U.S. cotton fabrics provide the ideal canvas for personal expression and individuality during travel. With denim fabrics sponsored by Cone Denim, a leading American denim fabric manufacturer with 126 years’ history, Indigo Tank, a young and dynamic service provider for denim brands and retailers helped produce the apparel for this special collection.


A dedicated B2B panel discussion themed “Indigo Silk Road” was also held after the fashion show, which brought together COTTON USA’s licensees and key players in the thriving denim industry in Hong Kong and Guangdong province to discuss the current status and prospects of the denim industry in China. Carmen Chen from Cone Denim, Vincent Qin from Denim Innovation Alliance, Gordon Wu from Vigoss, Chen Wen from Chenwen Studio, Liu Yi Qun from Wolfzone and Danny Zheng from Perfect Textile shared their insights and provided the latest update on the sustainability practices and where the denim industry is heading from different view points, including raw material supply, fabric and garment, fashion design, brand and retailer, etc...


The event attracted over 200 participants from the key denim manufacturers in the region, including COTTON USA’s licensees, such as Advance Denim, Byford, Baliso, Chaoan Textile, Cone Denim, Foison, Texhong, Seazon, Prosperity, Vigoss, etc. and the representatives from Guangdong Association of Garment Industry and Guangdong Province Textile Association also attended the event.
