From October 15th to 19th, ITMA ASIA+CITME 2018 will be held at the new National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. This is the sixth joint exhibition with CEMATEX. “ITMA ASIA+CITME 2018” continues to uphold the concept of providing quality service to textile machinery manufacturers and textile industry customers around the world, and coordinate to create a mutual exchange and forge a platform for the global textile machinery manufacturers and textile industry professionals. Up to now, more than 1,700 textile machinery companies from 28 countries and regions around the world, including China, Germany, Italy, Japan and Switzerland, have attracted more than 1,200 exhibitors from mainland China and over 500 exhibitors from overseas.

It is introduced that the exhibition covers 170,000 square meters, besides the three single-storey halls of H1 to H3 and the ground floor of the three double-storey halls of H4.1 to H6.1 in the six pavilions of the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), the North Hall will also be opened for the exhibition. H1 and H2 are spinning machinery, chemical fiber machinery and non-woven machinery exhibition area, H3 for weaving equipment, H4.1 for knitting equipment, H5.1 for textile devices, garment machinery and printing machinery, H6.1 for dyeing and printing equipment. In addition, the North Hall will exhibit knitting and weaving equipment as well as a newly opened functional zone - Research & Innovation Zone. From the perspective of the categories of products exhibited, spinning machinery accounted for the largest proportion, followed by printing and finishing, knitting equipment and weaving equipment.

At present, China’s textile machinery industry is gradually gaining universal recognition in the global market through quality and innovation. In order to encourage innovation, this exhibition will set up a new research and innovation area. At the same time, the exhibition will further refine the exhibit code.

An important change in the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 is the opening of the “Research & Innovation Zone”. In recent years, the printing industry has developed rapidly, and the trend of combining digital printing with traditional printing has emerged. In order to meet the needs of the development of textile machinery, the organizers of the exhibition decided to improve the code of the exhibits and separately listed the printing equipment from dyeing & printing equipment, including printing machinery, digital printing machines, printing auxiliary machinery and so on. In addition, it has also improved the garment machinery exhibit code, subdividing the garment machinery into software and systems for product planning, design and related automation technology in the apparel field, product development equipment, pre-shrinking, bonding, cutting preparation, cutting machinery as well as related automation technology, sewing, grooving and quilting machinery, etc.

Through a series of adjustments and refinements, the organizers hope to create a more convenient, thoughtful and efficient exhibition environment for all participants. On the other hand, it is hoped that more exhibitors and cross-border enterprises will participate in the exhibition and strengthen communication with each other, which not only brings more solutions to the industry, but also makes greater contributions to industrial upgrading and industry technology advancement.

The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex) and China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), as industry organizations, have the responsibility and mission to promote innovation and promote the integration of production, education and research in their own brand exhibitions. After careful research, the organizers decided to open a “Research & Innovation Zone” at the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 and provide subsidy to accelerate innovation results to go out of the campus and research institutions, and truly integrate into the industry and enterprises. Qualified research and innovation zone exhibitors can apply for the subsidy which is up to 50% discount. The subsidy is provided by CEMATEX.
